Domain Registry of America

The Domain Registry of America

Domain Registry of America (DROA) is a company that is sending out letters to domain holders around the world, which masquerade as official renewal forms.

The forms have tricked many thousands of individuals and businesses to unwittingly transfer their domain to DROA at exorbitant prices.

Many countries have attempted to enforce consumer-protection legislation, to stop DROA sending out mailings, however they often send letters from overseas, and operate a private mailbox in the country they are sending to, to get round this.

The mailings and the text differ slightly, however here is a scan of a recent letter.

As you can see it looks like an 'official' mailing, and could trick you into transfering your domain to DROA.

Please read my blog, and add to your site! (or tag)

I have posted a story about a DATING SCAMMER. (w/ photo)

    She has been caught!

If we ban together, and expose them, we may be able to stop these SCAMMERS!
